The newly created Automotive Engineering Institute (AEI) focuses on creating new knowledge in the field of automotive engineering. AEI extends the university’s strong research and development capabilities to business and government, concentrating on vehicle research, professional development, consulting and dynamometer and laboratory support. Lawrence Tech’s Lear Entrepreneurial Center (LEC), administered by the College of Engineering, consists of courses, conferences, and internships designed to provide entrepreneurship education in which inquiry, creativity, and innovation are the norm, and theory and practice go hand-in-hand.

Lawrence Tech’s Office of Technology Partnerships links university and faculty resources and capabilities to meet the applied research and commercialization needs of industry and government.
